Assistant Marketing Manager (New York, New York)

Whiting Consulting’s client, a pioneering word-of-mouth marketing company, is seeking an Assistant Marketing Manager to assist with production of unique Web-based marketing promotions. The Assistant Marketing Manager will work with project managers, technical, and creative teams to produce national marketing events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain timelines and reporting documentation.
  • Manage micro-site launches, including ensuring that all creative assets, media, and content are uploaded and accurate.
  • Manage ongoing micro-site content… schedule and post blogs, emails, and polls; update branded and featured media, as needed.
  • Manage and deploy e-mail campaigns.
  • Assist in proofing creative designs and surveys.
  • Data management and reporting: generate and manage event database lists; maintain and update event data; provide data reporting for specific client inquiries; generate and analyze system reports.
  • Takes on special projects and assignments, as needed.

  • Required skills:

  • 2-5 years business experience (in marketing, analysis, systems, database analysis or management, online media, Web-based applications).
  • Comfortable with Web -based applications and online multimedia.
  • Experience with Web -based production and Web 2.0 concepts.
  • Able and willing to adapt to new situations, challenges, and job duties, as required.
  • Able to work with or without structure.
  • Ability to multitask and attention to details is a must.
  • Good oral and written communication skills required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (formulas and functions) and Word; PowerPoint experience is a plus but not required.
  • Some working knowledge of HTML a plus, but not required.
