FRONT END WEB DEVELOPER (NEW YORK, NEW YORK)

A growing experiential marketing and consumer activation firm is seeking a Front End Web Developer to help build and scale our website and online products. We are looking for a highly-motivated individual with a clear passion for developing high-quality, standards-based code. Must work well with others, have an attention to detail, and love solving problems. Must be able to complete assignments on time in a fast-paced and, sometimes, high-pressure environment. This is a pure development position. Interaction design and visual design are handled by other departments.
Requirements
3+ years experience with standards-based web development.
Extensive knowledge of HTML - standards compliant, of course.
Extensive knowledge of CSS - if you rely on tables for layout, look elsewhere.
Experience with PHP development is required.
Solid knowledge of Javascript (jquery).
Deep understanding of cross-browser development techniques and issues, W3C standards, and optimization techniques.
Experience with structured code libraries such as Git and Subversion.
Experience with MVC frameworks such as CakePHP.
Solid knowledge of image editing applications such as Photopaint, Fireworks or Photoshop.
Must be able to take a png/psd page template and create a clean, standards compliant HTML/CSS/PHP page.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
Recommended
Experience with Flash, AS3 and Flex.
Experience with bug-tracking systems, such as Jira/FogBugz/Bugzilla.
Experience developing Web applications with CakePHP.
Experience integrating with social networking sites, such as Facebook.
Experience using Git version control.
Experience with Capistrano deployment.
