Technical Recruiter (Rochester, NewYork)

We are looking for a creative, self-motivated individual who is not afraid of cold calling, has excellent self-management skills, and strong technical research capabilities. We are looking for someone who is incredibly Internet savvy and has the ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects. You must be highly-efficient, have strong communication skills, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and work best when you are challenged, busy, and part of a team. You must also possess a flexible personality, positive attitude, and the ability to interact with a wide range of people.
This position will be located in either the Rochester, New York or New York City area.
Responsibilities
Utilize both standard and creative sourcing strategies such as: Monster and Linked In to identify top talent and find qualified candidates matching the job requisitions.
Act as an Account Manager working with clients to determine needs.
Write and post creative and effective job postings, conduct phone screens, evaluate resumes and schedule and conduct interviews.
Utilize a proactive, detail-oriented approach to maintaining and tracking progress in an applicant tracking system.
Actively seek candidates to fit specific job openings and pro-active profile using a variety of methods including sourcing, referrals, cold calling, Internet, etc.
Research and develop new methods to source both active and passive candidates.
Cold call to develop a database of senior-level talent that is typically not found through traditional sourcing strategies.
Interview people to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements., and evaluate candidates’ strengths compared with clients’ requirements by evaluating, screening, and interviewing the candidate.
Follow up with candidates, as needed, to maintain relationship.
Attend networking events to build up client base.
Some travel will be required.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
Experience in a sales or customer service environment is preferred.
Internet and computer application experience, specifically Microsoft Office.
Ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
Self-starter with ability to prioritize and juggle workload.
Have a desire to learn and advance in a fast-paced environment; be capable of regularly using good judgment and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements.
Excellent time management and organization skills.
